Kaksh means the room of the lady, in Hindi. All things in relation to Indian fascinates the owner, Audrey See. Audrey traded her corporate blazer for a ticket to India. It was the beginning of a fusioned Kaksh wardrobe.
Ranging from the traditional ornate and intricacies of thread & sequins embroidery to the modern and colourful Bollywood.
Fast forward the clock to present, the Kaksh wardrobe has evolved into classic retro. Classic – because Audrey likes dresses that never go out of fashion. She believes that her dresses are never fashionable. It’s a style.
Retro – as she has always liked them. Like looking at the pom-poms in black & white movies, like looking at old pictures. She was too young to remember & experience those times. So she interpreted them in her ways, re-created and re-lived them through my works, adapted to today’s context.
