The Singapore Week of Innovation and Technology (SWITCH) is jointly organised by Enterprise Singapore and MP Singapore, and supported by the National Research Foundation. It brings together leaders, creators, entrepreneurs, accelerators, and investors from the Global-Asia innovation ecosystem such as Amazon Web Services, Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), Artificial Intelligence International Institute (AIII), Bain & Co, Business Finland, Hessen Economic Development, and Invest Qatar, to name a few.
Now in its sixth year running, SLINGSHOT, powered by Startup SG, is EnterpriseSG’s Startup Pitching Competition that provides startups with an international platform to profile themselves to corporates, industry veterans and investors. The finals took place as part of the three-day SWITCH flagship event that happened from 25 to 28 October 2022 at Resorts World Convention Centre, Singapore.
SLINGSHOT 2022 opened its doors to 6 challenge domains: Health & Biomedical; Transformative Digital Technologies; Consumer Media, Goods and Services; Manufacturing, Trade and Connectivity; and Environment, Energy and Green Technology.
Peptobiotics emerged the winner of the grand prize at the finals of SLINGSHOT 2022. The startup from Singapore stood out for its innovative synthetic biology alternative to livestock antibiotics. Competing in the Environment, Energy & Green Technologies challenge domain, Peptobiotics aims to leverage advances in both human medicine and synthetic biology to create an antibiotic-free agricultural system. The first runner-up was E3A Healthcare and second runner-up was Wasna, which both competed in the Healthcare and Biomedical challenge domain.
SIP’s Tech for Good team extends our heartiest congratulations to the winner and finalists.
