Touch Art Gallery is a project by the Singapore Association of the Visually Handicapped (SAVH) to market and retail woodwork and handicrafts created by the hands of Visually Handicapped persons. Each piece is lovingly crafted and is testament to the vitality of the human spirit as each piece is made not by sight but by touch alone.
The project supports the operations of SAVH, the national voluntary welfare organisation for the blind in Singapore. SAVH aims to help Visually Impaired people acquire skills and gain self-reliance to integrate into society. It provides services such as Braille, mobile massage, vision rehabilitation, low vision clinic, skills development programme and assistive devices.
